Middle School Acts of Service
Each year every class adopts a missionary to support. Students write letters and collect offerings for selected missionaries from all over the world. Students have collected backpacks filled with school items for Paul Hill Ministries. In turn, PHM gave these backpacks to Katrina hurricane victims. Another year, our students collected more than a thousand pairs of socks for orphans.
Also, SACS middle schoolers conduct a yearly effort to raise money for missions to Haiti. Typically, our middle school children raise $2,000 or more for Haiti. Middle school students also support World Vision and its Child Sponsorship Program. In 2008/2009, SACS middle schoolers were recognized by World Vision as a national leader for middle schools. What a blessing to see our middle school students in action!
