Tuition:
Once enrolled, a family has made a commitment to pay the full year tuition regardless of the reason for early withdrawal. The school realizes that most families will need to pay over twelve months (or, in some cases, by semester). Families choosing to make payments over time must participate in the Tuition Protection Plan that is offered at a very nominal cost. The Tuition Protection Plan is designed to protect your tuition obligation should an unforeseen event occur. If selecting a payment plan, new families will make their first payment at enrollment and then July 1st through May 1st thereafter. Families paying by semester will pay at enrollment or June 1st whichever comes first, and then by December 1st. Discounts are given for full and half year payments. Families paying in full may opt out of TPP by signing the TPP Opt-out form at the time of payment.

EXPLANATION OF FEES
Fees are charged to cover the cost associated with an activity. Most fees are self-explanatory. However, the following fees warrant additional explanation.
Point of Entry Fee (POE) – The money generated by this fee is used to develop a reserve fund. Over the years, families have sacrificed to have the facilities we now enjoy. New families entering 6th through 12th grades are asked to shoulder an additional portion of the burden of maintaining and developing these facilities through this one-time fee. New families entering the elementary school are exempt from this fee for two reasons: 1) The tuition charged for elementary school is sufficient to cover the cost of maintenance and repair of the elementary school facilities which is not the case for the secondary school; 2) It is the desire of the school to encourage families to begin in the elementary school, therefore elementary school families are given a financial incentive to enroll before entering the 6th grade.
Tuition Protection Plan (TPP) – Tuition is due in its entirety once enrolled. However, many families prefer the option of 12 monthly payments or 2 semester payments. To protect our families and the school, school board policy requires that families selecting the monthly or semester payment plan participate in the Tuition Protection Plan. Those families paying yearly may choose not to participate in TPP by signing the TPP Opt-out form at the time the tuition is paid in full. This program guarantees that 90% of the family’s outstanding tuition balance (10% remains the responsibility of the family) will be paid to the school in the event of one of the following:
1. Death of a parent or court appointed legal guardian;
2. Withdrawal at the school’s request for academic or behavioral reasons;
3. A physician’s written determination that a student’s medical condition will no longer permit the student to attend the school;
4. Having to move more than 50 miles from the school due to job transfer or new employment. Documentation of new address and job transfer are both required.
*Please note that unemployment, separation/divorce, or unexpected medical illness of the person responsible for paying tuition is not covered by the Tuition Protection Program (TPP). Such needs are evaluated by the scholarship committee on an individual basis. Grants through the emergency scholarship fund are available for up to 3 months, are based upon the income level of the family, and are dependent upon gifts to the fund. Applications are available in the central office.
