We believe our ministry in the middle school is to make graduating 5th graders into 9th graders. We assess where students are academically when they arrive, know where they need to be when they leave, and have a plan in place to get them there. We look at their academic foundation, find the weak spots, and strengthen them. We are big enough to have the capabilities to provide help, and small enough to meet each student’s individual academic needs.
We have five academic subjects required for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. These are: science, math, history, language arts and Bible. Our faculty members assess the curriculum annually for each of these subjects and make recommendations. We use the best text available as part of our curriculum. These textbooks come from both Christian and secular publishers.
We also offer a number of electives including but not limited to: art, band, computer, home economics, interior design, journalism, leadership skills, and Spanish.
We are a college preparatory school and the middle school curriculum is designed to prepare students to be successful in such an academically challenging environment.
