San Antonio Christian High School offers a number of annual and special events that contribute to the distinctiveness of our school.

• Jr./Sr. Banquet – The junior class presents an evening to remember complete with dinner, a play, and beautiful stage and table decorations to honor the graduating seniors.  Most seniors recall their work producing the banquet as one of their best high school memories. 

• Mission Trips – High School students are given opportunities to minister to people in various countries such as the Dominican Republic, Mexico, the Ukraine, and Peru.  Students and accompanying parents and teachers find these trips life-changing as they love others with the love of Christ.

• Christmas Banquet – Students from 9th to 12th grade have the opportunity to wear formal attire and come together to celebrate the birth of Christ.  This banquet usually includes entertainment by SACS students, and a candle-lighting ceremony which demonstrates Jesus as the Light of the World.

• Fall Retreat – Seniors go ahead of the rest of the high school to prepare in order to provide leadership to their family groups called “huddle groups” for three days of fellowship, praise, fun, and challenging teaching at Alto Frio Baptist Encampment. Teachers, parents, and students stay in cabins as they get away for a relaxing time of reflection on Christ and bonding with others.  These three days bring all participants closer to Christ and one another.

• Jr./Sr. Retreat – This retreat is designed to bring a year of leadership for the seniors to a close and to “pass the torch” of leadership to the junior class.  Juniors and seniors hear teaching which challenges them as they face their new roles in high school and college.  Friendly competition and a ropes course allow the upperclassmen to explore their privileges away from the underclassmen.

• Art/Speech/Academic Meet – Our regional meet is held in various cities in our district each year in the spring.  Students exhibit their artwork, prove their academic knowledge, and display their dramatic talents as they compete with other schools in the district.  The top four or five winners in each category move on to the state competition held in Austin.   San Antonio Christian High School students represent their school well.

• San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Art Contest – Each year SACS students participate in the Stock Show and Rodeo Art Contest. SACS High School art students have earned more than $650,000 in scholarship money since the 2000-2001 school year.
