Fine Arts
SACS Fine Arts Department has developed into simply the best offered in San Antonio private education.  Through award winning programs, students are discovering their passions and callings in art, architecture, drama, band, photography, journalism (includes yearbook, broadcasting) and communications (includes graphic arts and website development). Graduates from these programs are leaving high school with the largest scholarships to pursue careers in a variety of the creative fields.  Experienced teachers dedicated to the future of their students make SACS Fine Arts a place where students are properly prepared to enter the career world with a competitive edge.

Yearbook
The Overcomer is an award-winning yearbook where students with skills in photography, graphic arts, reporting, page development, and business management combine to record the history of the high school for one year.  Yearbook is run professionally as a magazine would be and requires students to master the Adobe Creative Suites II computer program working in the only MAC lab on campus.  Students have the opportunity to be nominated for Quill & Scroll International Honorary Journalism Society, and The National Scholastic Press Association Honor Roll.  Many students graduate from SACS yearbook to pursue careers in magazine publishing and public relations.

Newspaper
"The Revelation: Not Just Your Ordinary High School Newspaper," was the headline in the San Antonio Express News in 2006 as SACS journalism, founded only five years earlier, was recognized by professional journalists for its exceptional program.  The Revelation has won national and statewide recognition for excellence. Graduates of the program are writing for college publications as freshmen, winning top communications internships, and attending top journalism colleges in the country with scholarships.  The Revelation is distinguished by the "real world" journalism that the students experience.  Students have the opportunity to be nominated for Quill & Scroll International Honorary Journalism Society, and The National Scholastic Press Association Honor Roll.  Graduates of SACS Journalism have pursued careers in newspaper, magazine, political science, public relations, and convergence media.
