Tuition Aide Fund

Maintaining a good socio-economic balance at any Christian school is difficult at best. It is a fact of life that private education requires significant financial resources. Families with limited resources often times find it impossible to attend a Christian school. To help with this problem, San Antonio Christian Schools has established a tuition aide fund to meet the needs of three groups of people.

Single Parent, Low Income

Single parents typically have experienced the tragic loss of a loved one or the trauma of divorce. The loss of a breadwinner further compounds the problem. San Antonio Christian Schools desires to help low-income, single parents as much as possible through gifts and budgeted funds. Gifts can be generally designated for this fund or gifts can go directly to a needy single parent once the need is established through the school’s scholarship application process.

Low Income Families

San Antonio Christian Schools desires to assist low income families meet the demands of tuition. Families applying for assistance must be committed to Christ and to Christian education. Each family requesting aide is required to complete an application for assistance. Disclosure of financial information is a necessary part of the application process. Once determined, aide is awarded based upon resources available through gifts and budgeted funds.

Emergency Needs

What does a family do when a life threatening illness strikes? Or an accident? Or an unexpected loss of employment through no fault of one’s own? Tuition needs to be paid and often times the financial resources are no longer there. San Antonio Christian Schools has established an emergency fund for situations just like this. Families can draw from these funds for up to three months once the need has been documented and approved. Families must use their own saving or other resources before drawing on emergency funds. Designated gifts and budget funds are available for such emergencies.
